I am having an odd issue where I start a service observe call and after exactly 5 mins, the recording device hangs up. Is there some kind of configuration setting that I am unaware of?

I can't think of any configuration that would affect this. There are a few things you can try which may help you to figure out what is going on:

1. Make sure the problem is that the recorder is being but On-hook, not that is is becoming unregistered or that the application is disconnecting from AE Services.

2. Use the DMCC Dashboard instead of your application. Check if you see the same behaviour.

3. Run 'list trace station NNN' (NNN is the recorder's extension number). This might show some event occurring at the time the recorder disconnects.

4. Try using a deskphone instead of the recorder. Check if it is disconnected.
