Is it possible to use DMCC to either silence/mute one party on a call?

Agent A speaking to customer. Agent A conferences in an AEP application which plays prompts, and collects dtmf/speech input. Is there a way to silence the agent or determine which party on the call the dtmf/speech is being sourced from?

You can achieve this using the Selective Listen Hold feature. This allows the application to control who can hear whom.

Selective Listening Hold is a Call Control feature so it is provided to DMCC via TSAPI. Therefore, you can get a full description in "TSAPI for Avaya Communication Manager Programmer’s Reference" - the TSAPI PG is usually much more comprehensive than the DMCC PG.

Please note that, in order to use Selective Listening Hold, you will need to have a TSAPI Advanced license.
