I'm working with Nuance 9 and am having difficulty with recognition of grammars. I can see in the nuance logs that it IS picking up the grammar that I coded...in this case "calling" but is failing on low confidence. I'm not expert on the logs but it shows a confidence score of 46 - (presumably translated to .46) in the AEP. I have tried setting the confidence level to .3 on the aep and have also tried using a property form in the input node and cannot get a match. Based on the logs I've looked at, it's gotten the correct grammar every time I have tested, but the confidence fails.

Any help would be appreciated!

What does the OD trace.log show when the values are submitted to the application server. You will probably have to contact platform support for this.

Just a recognition failure. Unfortunately, when the grammar fails, you get no data from the speech server regarding confidence, value, etc.

I see (just work up :( ), the nuance trace show it got the right value but vxi is saying no match. If you have also set the property confidence level (see attached) to .3 it would see odd that you are not getting a recognition. I also find it odd that you even have to do that. Personally it seems there is a configuration issue. However this forum cannot address that issue.

Yeah, I'm just learning to look at these logs...this is our DEV server. But it's odd that it's like 100% of the time picking up what I'm saying, but the results are still failures. We seem to have a high volume of recognition failures on our prod box too. If it's config, I haven't a clue where to go to get it looked at....It's Avaya installed, and we haven't messed with it much.

Any ideas?

I would contact the installers and ask them what's wrong or Avaya support.
