Avaya Work Assignment Snap-in

Latest Release: 3.10 (January 2023)

Interfaces

The following interfaces facilitate the creation of solutions that access capabilities provided by the Avaya Work Assignment Snap-in:

REST Web Services

Work Assignment provides the following REST-based interfaces:

  • Service: The Service REST Web service enables client applications to: request single, multiple or group resources with a specified set of attributes; accept resources offered; cancel requests; confirm work items as complete; query the status of resources; get metrics for specified attribute sets; etc.
  • Resource:The Resource REST Web service can be used to create adapters that allow client applications to: log resources in and out of Work Assignment; mark resources as available or unavailable; track the number of work items assigned to resources; query the state of resources; etc.
  • Reporting:Work Assignment's Reporting adapters provide a real-time stream of request and resource status change events. Client REST Web service applications can subscribe to receive notifications of these events.

For detailed information about these interfaces and their capabilities, see the Avaya Work Assignment Developer Guide, available under the Downloads tab for the Release of the snap-in you are using.

Engagement Designer Tasks

Work Assignment supports a number of tasks that can be added to Workflow Definitions created using Avaya Engagement Designer. The tasks enable business processes to be defined that include: requesting single, multiple or group resources that match a specified set of attributes; accepting resources offered; cancelling requests; confirming work items as complete; querying resources; getting metrics for specified attribute sets. For detailed information about using the tasks see the Avaya Work Assignment Developer Guide and Avaya Engagement Designer Developer's Guide, available under the Downloads tab for the Release of the snap-in you are using.
