96x0 Series SIP Software Release 2.5

Release 2.5 was made generally available in December 2009 and is supported for installation on Avaya 9620, 9620L, 9620C, 9630, 9630G, 9640, 9640G, 9650, and 9650C IP deskphones. This is NOT the latest release of SIP software for installation on Avaya 96x0 IP Deskphones. The latest release is recommended for new development.

SIP Release 2.5 includes the following new features:

Support for three button modules.
Power Management support when additional modules are connected.
Per Line Alerting : Use the per-line alerting settings from PPM for bridged appearances.
Support third-party FNUs for call forward and SAC.
Local station lock.
Integration with Exchange Calendars and persistent exchange credentials.
Localized call progress tones for 97 countries with a distinct private and public network dialtone.
Caching for configuration data.
DHCP:
- Persist the last known DHCP information when necessary.
- Populate DHCP option 60.
- Change max DHCP message size sent in option 57 to 1000.
Third-party proxy/gateway support for AudioCodes MP-114/8 and Cisco 2821 ISR with SRST.
Enhanced logging leverages syslog to report an array of events.
Media Preservation.
Direct connection to Avaya Aura Session Manager.
Support for the Push API from Release 2.2: subscribe, display, top line, transmit audio, receiveaudio and phonexml push messages.
Support for Avaya one-X Communicator 5.2 Shared Control Mode.
