Release 5.0

IP Office Release 5.0 was made generally available in August 2009; the latest quarterly maintenance release was issued in April 2012. This is NOT the latest IP Office release; the latest release is recommended for new development.

Features in the new release

Highlights of IP Office Release 5.0 include:

  • Three editions of IP Office are now available: Essential Edition, Preferred Edition and Advanced Edition
  • Licensing changes: a simplified three step user-centric licensing model has been adopted: IP Office system platform and phones licenses, system edition licenses and user productivity licenses
  • Release 5.0 is supported on the IP Office 500, IP412 and IP406 v2 platforms only
  • Telephone support: for Avaya 1603SW, third-party SIP endpoints and the new IP-DECT R4 Solution
  • Core function support: centralized directory; centralized call log; increased conferencing capacity up to 128 channels; extended Small Community Network (SCN) with resilience; enhanced fax support
  • Messaging support: embedded voicemail; VoiceMail Pro enhancements
  • one-X Portal for IP Office
  • Enhanced Quality of Service reporting
  • Enhanced VoIP telephone support
