Release 7.0

IP Office Release 7.0 was made generally available in March 2011; the latest quarterly maintenance release was issued in December 2012. This is NOT the latest IP Office release; the latest release is recommended for new development.

Features in the new release

IP Office Release 7.0 includes the following new and enhanced features:

  • Support for Business Communications Manager (BCM) and Norstar telephones, enabling a smooth migration from BCM and Norstar to IP Office.
  • New IP Office Essential Edition modes: "Quick Mode" makes starting and using IP Office quick and easy; "Standard Mode" works as for previous releases.
  • Enhanced offers for small systems with 20 or fewer users: the PARTNER version, Norstar version, and Essential Edition Quick Mode are specifically designed to address the "Sub-20" user market.
  • New features supported on 1100 and 1200 Series IP deskphones.
  • Enhancements to public SIP trunks.
  • Mobility enhancements.
  • Essential and Preferred Edition voicemail enhancements.
  • one-X Portal enhancements.
  • Customer Call Reporter enhancements.
  • Administration enhancements.

Note: The IP Office CTI Link SDK and TAPI Wave Driver have not been updated or reissued for this release.
