Overview

Avaya Proactive Outreach Manager hosts two SOAP/WSDL-based Web services that enable client applications to access Avaya Proactive Outreach Manager features and functionality programmatically:

  • Agent API Web service (VP_POMAgentAPIService): enables client applications to perform routine operations related to campaigns, such as retrieving and updating completion codes, retrieving and updating contact attributes, adding contacts and contact groups to running jobs and campaigns, adding, updating and deleting contacts, adding contacts to a DNC list, removing contacts from a DNC list, checking whether a contact is on a DNC list, and retrieving contact information.
  • Campaign Management Web service (VP_POMCmpMgmtService): enables client applications to manage campaigns, including call pacing features. Clients can run a campaign based on an event, pause active jobs, resume paused jobs, stop jobs and get campaign job information. Call pacing is used to restrict or determine the maximum number of simultaneous calls allowed for each campaign. Note that use of this Web service requires a valid Voice Portal user for authorization.

With the introduction of POM release 3.1, both SOAP and equivalent REST Web Services are supported.
