Hi,

We recently got a setup in the lab with AES (6.2), ACM (6.x), and Session Manager. And the Phones are ALL SIP phones.


Is there a way to get information about these SIP phones via SMS APIs ?

Like if they are Registered or Not, their Cos, CoR etc.


Or the only way is to go through the Session Manager APIs ?

Are you referring to a Devconnect remote lab? You can get information on these endpoints with SMS API's as long as Communication Manager knows the information. So COR and COS you could retrieve with SMS. Registration for SIP endpoints is something that Session Manager only knows, so SMS will not work for that.

Right now the ACE Foundation Toolkit is the only thing I know of that will get SIP registration events. However, I have been told that in AE Services 6.3.1 SIP registration events will be supported.

Not the remote lab.

Just the regular setup in our company.

I guess you answered the question - I was looking to get the SIP Phone's status information via SMS. Looks like I cannot get that from SMS and have to go to Session Manager.

Or wait till AES 6.3.1 becomes available.
