I am trying to collect CDR using BDE like I do on customer Avaya's. I have my RSP cheatsheet that works on a real Avaya, but am confused by the BDE. When configuring "Change IP-Services" to add CDR1 service type, is my local node (C-LAN) "procr" ? I guessed so, but my software on the other end @ port 9000 tells me it is waiting for the Avaya to connect and it never does...a "test cdr-link primary" from BDE fails so I must have something wrong. I can PING from both ends so no firewall issues....any ideas ? thanks.

Did you setup 'change system-parameters cdr' ?
The changes you described for ip-services were correct.
CDRdoes work with BDE.

Here is my ip-services form.. you should reformat it with a constant width font!

IP SERVICES
Service Enabled Local Local Remote Remote
Type Node Port Node Port
AESVCS y procr 8765
CDR1 procr 0 procr 9000

Hi John, yes I setup CDR1 as the primary output endpoint, configured as unformatted, and confirmed that intra-switch CDR = Y under system parameters.

My IP-Services form is:
CDR1 procr 0 my-remote 9000

I did a busy-out and release just for good measure, but no luck.

reboot Communication Manager (save trans first) - not that I really believe it will make a difference, but it is easy to do)?

Set up a packet sniff and see if you can see Communication Manager trying to open the socket?
