Hello. "Avaya Aura" is the name of our enterprise unified communications suite of products, including Communication Manager, Session Manager, System Manager and, of course, Collaboration Environment.

"Elite" is the name of our flagship Contact Center offer that is built upon Avaya Aura.

Elite is the name of our flagship contact center offer. The core code in the offer is within Communication Manager itself. If a customer doesn't purchase Elite, those features will not be active in Communication Manager. The features include agent state tracking, queuing, call distribution, etc.

FYI, there is another Avaya Aura Contact Center product that handles those same features but in an external server. If you're interested in further details on these offers, please see http://www.avaya.com/usa/products/customer-experience-management.

Avaya Aura Elite brings in the ability for call center agents to login on their phone, have "skills", queue callers to those skills, and do other ACD functionality. The Avaya Aura [Communication Manager] PBX cannot do basic ACD functions without [Avaya Aura] ACD Elite licensing. Chances are you already have this licensing if you run a call center.
