Hi,

I am using EDP API for development, Is there any function in EDP which can translate the audio stream into text ?

I went through the com.avaya.collaboration.call.speech.search and the com.avaya.collaboration.call.speech.voicexml, but the speech search function is kind of searching words in an audio stream, not translating every word into text.

Does the voicexml things provide similar functions?

Please help.

Best regards,
Qian

Does EDP 3.0.3.0.003006 provide the interface Call.Media.MediaService.SpeechRecognizerItem?

VoiceXML does provide Automatic Speech Recognition, but what you want is transcription. Somewhat similar to Real-Time Speech, ASR requires a grammar to be specified and looks for the speaker to speak a phrase that matches that grammar (generally used in prompt and collect operations). Transcription is on our roadmap, but is unfortunately not currently supported.

By the way, ASR and Text to Speech both require a speech server such as Nuance to be configured along with Avaya Aura Media Server.
