Hello,
I've been tearing my hair out trying to figure out this runtime licensing problem.
I have a valid OD runtime license installed in my lab system. This is the license file:

Even though I can go to the license manager from the EPM license link, log in and see that the license is there, I still get the error below.
What am I missing?

Hace you configured the URL to the licenserver in the OD runtimeconfig web application?

Hi Ross,
Yes, I did try using the URL in the runtimeconfig file and I get the same results.
I'm currently upgrading my lab system to AAEP 7.01, so hopefully, when I get the new licenses, this won't be an issue.

For now, I think we can close the ticket.

In the runtimeconfig did you click "Verify" button in the runtimeconfig?

Okay, I reinstalled the AAEP 7.01 software and I haven't yet received the new licenses, it is in the grace period. I can run the Avaya test application and everything works as expected. But I get an "Invalid Runtime License" message when I try to run an OD application.
In Runtimeconfig, I've set the License URL to blank, and that doesn't work. When I put the license URL in and click update, I get a message saying "License URL is invalid, or server is not up". When I click verify, I get a page for the WebLM server, which I can log in to and it looks okay - except I don't currently have any licenses installed.
I generated and installed new Runtime config files and that didn't change anything.
What information do you need to assist with this?

Okay since the verify took you to the weblm page then the config is okay. Since you do not have a valid license your OD apps will still run for 30 days.

Hi Ross,
The problem is that the OD apps don't run. I thought that after a complete reinstall I would be able to run OD apps for the 30 day grace period, but I get the invalid runtime license message. How can I correct this?

can you enable all tracing in the ddrt.properties file run the app and then post the trace.log?

Yes, I realize it's stating the grace period has expired, but when I log into EPMS, it says the grace period will expire on June 21, 2015
Is the OD grace period is different from the grace period for the Experience Portal? I thought they were on the same time period.

Soooo – the code snippet you sent was a helpful clue. If the invalidLicenseTimer is set to “”, it should set the value and save the file. That wasn’t happening. I have Tomcat loaded under C:\Program Files\apache-tomcat-7.0.56, but I didn’t have the Tomcat service setting to “Log on as Administrator”. That was preventing the process from updating the file. I changed the setting in the windows services to start Tomcat as administrator and now it’s working.

I think we can chalk this one up for the tips and tricks troubleshooting guide.
