Hi

I have tried setting up Oracle Heterogeneous Services using ODBC on an AIX platform.

I have:
AIX 6.1
Oracle 11.1.0.7.11
Intersystem ODBC 5.2 from ftp://ftp.intersystems.com/pub/cache/odbc (i used the 5.2 / ppc64 version).

Setting up stuff seems OK and i managed to gain access from Oracle to some Caché tables (using Oracle->HS->Cache ODBC on unix -> Cachè db).
Alas some problems arises:
Caché table with datatype Timestamp is not supported.
And many other problems

I am currently under the impression that all the problems seems to be between ODBC SW and Oracle (most like Oracle does not interfaces well with ODBC sw).

I have no problem running a setup, where i use unixODBC to interface with ODBC driver and transferring data to unix/csv files and load data into Oracle using external tables.

Has anybody successfully installed and used the above setup to transfer data from Caché to an Oracle database?

Best Regards

Kim
