I am trying to create a POM SMS campaign to send sms to USA customers using smpp connection from 8:00 AM and 6:00 PM.

I want to have only one application handling all the area codes of US. I want the campaign to start at 8:00 am only for timezones which are actually 8:00 am and gradually pickup the numbers for other area codes when its 8:00 am in their area code.

Which timezone should i add and select while creating a smpp connection to get my above requirement completed.

Or please let me know an alternative way to handle this scenario.

Look into using the ENABLE Guard Times in the Campaign Strategy. This would require that you time zone your phone numbers correctly when imported (so the area code is matched against the Time Zone Area code Mapping table in POM).
There is a matching Time Zone attribute for each phone number that needs to be populated with the correct time zone for the area code.
