Is it possible for two recording applications to monitor and record the same station?

Yes it is, though there are limitations. For example:

1. If using Multiple Registration, each recorder will need to get a Device ID with a different Instance number. This limits the number of such possible recorders.

2. For Single Step recorders (and maybe Service Observers), there is a limit of 6 parties in the call. Each recorder takes up one of these 'slots' so you may have problems with conference calls if several parties are recorded.

3. For Service Observers, there is a max of 1 or 2 service observers per station. This (1 or 2) is configurable on Communication Manager.

So i had two applications doing SSC. The first one was able to get the device id for the station I want recorded. the second one got a resource busy error when it tried to get the device id for the same station.
