Hi All,

I have an application which processes and syncs employee and skill data from an Oracle DB to our phone system through AES server. Every now and then, we have been encountering this error, although the skill set looks in order -
'Cannot enter same skill twice'
This error is being thrown during an edit employee operation on the AES server. Similar scenarios of edit operations work fine, but very rarely we see this error and we cannot spot any pattern to it. And it is clearly seen that in the data we are sending to AES server for edit employee operation, there are no skills being repeated. We are not able to debug this since the error is appearing on the AES server and not the application.

Has anyone dealt with this error before ? Also, is there a way to remotely debug AES server ? Or is there a document available that details the exact procedure carried out on the AES server during a 'submitRequest' call for a 'change' operation ? I haven't had any luck looking up this error on web, hence reaching out to this forum.

Would really appreciate any pointers on this. Thanks.

In the Product FAQ's for SMS there is one called "How can the logs be turned on (trace, tracing)?". This will tell you how to turn on logging and where the log is located on AE Services. You will need to be able to SSH to the AE Services server.
