Hi,

I need my OD application to log an alarm to AEP so that an SNMP trap can be sent to our NOC.

Which of the fields matter in terms of how I will later be able to configure in the SNMP?
Do I have to create a custom alarm code on the AEP somewhere and then use that on my application?

How is my OD alarm related to the SNMP traps sent?

Thank you!

In OD if you use the report alarm on EP it shows up as QAPP_0001 - QAPP_0003 depending on the level.

Thanks Ross!

I did Critical and I am getting P0003, which is great.
Something I have been reading is that EPM will not allow multiple instances of the same alarm to be logged for a certain period of time. As per AEP admin guide:

-----------------------------------------------------------------
"Avaya Aura® Experience Portal implements a filter mechanism to protect against alarm overloads. Avaya Aura® Experience Portal ensures that only one alarm is generated by an application within a certain amount of time."
-----------------------------------------------------------------

I could not find on any document what what that "amount of time" is. Is it hours, minutes? Do you know?

Thanks again!

Sorry I do not know that part. Experience Portal Support may be able to help.
