I setup a new breeze lab but I am unable to get it to make a call. I tested the hello world snap-in to test and the caller ID shows as Hello From EDP using two test phone numbers via communicator onex and avaya Equinox, but when I create a simple workflow with engagement designer to make a call and create an instance, the call never happens.

Here are my settings and statuses:

I created a pattern for the two numbers

Routing Policy Destination: TestLabCM

I also created a Routing Policy for Avaya Breeze as a Sip Entity as Destination with the dial pattern 1312xxxxxxx


Under Avaya Breeze > Configuration > Service Profiles
I created a service profile "MyTestProfile" and I added Engagement Designer and HelloWorld servie to

Under Avaya Breeze > Configuration > Implicit UserProfiles

I created a new Implicit User profile Rule
Service Profile: MyTestProfile
Pattern: 1312xxxxxxx
Min: 11
Max: 11


I assigned this profile "MyTestProfile" to the two test phone numbers that I am using

Do any of these settings have misconfiguration?

* Does the make call task return an error or does it appear to succeed?
* Please check error logs by doing the following from the command line: "ce dlogv" and "ce dlogv EngagementDesigner"

I terminated all other test instances and I created a new instance for a workflow which is a simple start --> Make Call --> End

The make call has the first test number

I did a debug, which completed the flow with no issues. The workflow turned green.

11. Assign System Manager signed certificate to all service profiles.
12. Click Save.

That said, I'm going to open a bug against Breeze because this sort of misconfiguration should have resulted in a clear error that is visible at the workflow level.

I think you need to provision the AAMS FQDN (ipclab-mediaserver.ipclab.org) in System Manager rather than the IP address (11.232.153.55). This FQDN must be resolvable via DNS or /etc/hosts.

it is already configured that way, but for some reason it is using the IP according to the logs.

The FQDN of the AAMS must either be configured in DNS or it must be added to /etc/hosts on each Breeze node.

the FQDN is configured in DNS. We do not have root access to modify the hosts file.

we were able to add the entry in the hosts file. The error remains but it shows the hostname instead of the IP in the error. Any idea what else to look at?

The media server also looks fine. I attached an image displaying the status.

Hi, you said that the error is still there, but with hostname instead of IP. Is the hostname "ipclab-mediaserver.ipclab.org". The FQDN used in DNS or /etc/hosts must exactly match the CN or Subject-Alt-Name in the certificate.
