Hi,
I am running OD 7.2.08.04
I have a dummy prompt that says "hello word" with TTS.
When I run it on simulator, I see the text is being queued.... with a female gender voice.

There is no error at all, however I do not hear anything.

I have checked my windows speech configuration and the TTS voice assigned on the system language is a United States female, called Zira.
I have tested the voice from the windows control panel and I can hear it properly.

Any clue of why OD simulator is not playing it?

thank you!
Regards

Do you still have the problem? Have you tried restarting Eclipse and Tomcat?

Hi,
I am also facing same problem.

Using AAOD simulator on my Win10 laptop, TTS text is not playing.
Tried to add "Flush Prompt" and "Item Properties", but no success.

When i import same code to Windows10 PC it is working fine.

Could not find anything on google search.

Did you use the Windows tool Narrator to try to read some text? See if that works.

Issue is fixed :)

This is fixed by uninstalling Microsoft Speech API "AAOD_7_2_1\Software\MSSpeech" software. This i had installed as per guide "AAOD_GettingStarted.pdf".

I am not sure what is use of "MSSpeech", Please suggest how to use "MSSpeech" without disturbing TTS playing.

MSSpeech was only needed for certain versions of Windows that didn't have the desktop ASR and TTS installed by default. I haven't seen such problems with later versions of Windows. We will make some adjustment to the documentation.

Hi ,
I am also facing same problem , [ AAOD 7.2.1]

When i simulate Speech project , I could able to hear only content of the wave files, TTS messages are not playing in my machine .

I kept en-gb as TTS , ASR and Localization (en-gb 3.1.4). here wave files are playing and TTS not played
when i use en-us , TTS messages were playing , could not able to identify where the issue was.

I tried MSSpeech also , it is working ..

Could you please help?

The TTS engine that comes with Windows may not support the en-GB language code.
