Is a TAPI driver loaded into Windows the only way to enable the click to dial function (Remote Call Control)?

We have AES and it was integrated into Lync/OCS and RCC worked great.
Now that MS has remove RCC from Lync with the Skype rebrand, we lost RCC.

Is there any other product through Avaya that will enable RCC again?
I'm not sure what my options are at this point.
Since Avaya does not provide a TAPI driver for CM, is my only option to write a TAPI driver that translates TAPI to TSAPI and use AES?
