There is no indicator to confirm if sent text message has been received and read by the other party. How we can add this functionality?

You're right, SDK does not support this kind of functionality since none of supported deployments provide it.
I guess "message read by remote party" feature makes sense for peer-to-peer conversation only.
We will take a note of your feature request and consider planning it for future releases.

Thank you for your suggestion to add functionality to the Client SDK. functionality is generally added when we have a internal adopter (Avaya Application) for this capability. In this case we do intend to add a read indicator to the Equinox clients and the Client SDK will of course then support this functionality. This is a candidate feature for our next release. We will be firming up content for this release in August.
