Hello,
How to get rid of __DD_NULL value in a variable. I have tried doing trim() in a servlet as well as Trim white space in the datanode. This is at in front of a variable and TTS speaks it as 'DD Null'.

If you are already using Java code in a servlet, you can just set the value to "". Or you can try the Trim Whitespace operation in the data node.
