I am working for product which basically monitors the AvayaCM servers and clusters.
We monitor AvayaCM servers via SNMP with certain set of OID's.

one of the customer not able to monitor AvayCM server from our product as it is out of band management (OOBM) enabled.
I don't have idea on out of band management (OOBM). Can you provide basic architecture (pictorial represent) how OOBM works?

basically when OOBM enabled , LAN blocks 161..not responded to SNMP, why it so ?

Thanks,
Sowmya

Don't know much about it either but you might have more success on the AES forum as those guys are "closer" to the CM stuff than AACC is. Otherwise I'd suggest a quick review of "Chapter 131: Out-of-Band management" in the "Communication Manager Feature Description" document. It may give you enough clues to answer your question (seems to me that SNMP might be configured on another "channel").
