Dear Team,



As part of the RHEL OS patching , we need to apply the patches on IBM Web application server(IVR). We are going to upgrade kernel.



After patching kernel version will change as mentioned below,



· Current running kernel - 2.6.32-754.23.1.el6

· Kernel version after patching - 2.6.32-754.25.1.el6



Kindly check the application compatibility with new kernel to proceed with patching.



Below are the version details of the environment.



Orchestration Designer - 7.0.1.0804

Experience Portal - 7.0.2

IBM WAS - 8.5.5.13



Please help to advise if it is compatible.

According to the Release Notes for AAEP v7.0 Service Pack 2 (link: https://downloads.avaya.com/css/P8/documents/101010368) the required OS is

- Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server release 6.6 (x86_64) or later 6.x release (in case of ISO installation)

- Avaya Enterprise Linux version RH6.6.64-AV02EP7SP2 or later (in case of OVA installation).

You need to check with Avaya Support on AEP. On OD, there is no direct dependency between the kernel and OD. As long as the app server (in your case IBM WAS 8.5.5) works, the OD app will run fine.
