When I try to deploy from Eclipse (windows 7 environment) I get the following on
the console:

I can Load it and Install it from Service Management, but then I can't update it
directly.

Hi JackJoy,

From the log it seems Eclipse plug-in was able to copy the svar. But later it was unable to install or installation triggered but failed due to SVAR not loaded to the SMGR. To further debug this issue we require logs of eclipse. Logs for eclipse will be available in the .log file under your eclipse workspace.
e.g. If your workspace name is "workspace" then look under below folder.

C:\workspace\.metadata\.log

Also it will be helpful which user is getting used in eclipse plug-in. It should be SMGR admin user and not the root.

It seems SVAR upload failed to SMGR itself. As in the below out put we don't see the MyService-1.0.0.0.0

Kindly the user being used and eclipse .log file that will help us debug the problem further.

Also to rule out any issue with the SVAR could you please try manually loading the SVAR and install it through SMGR. That will help us rule out any issue with SVAR or application side.
