In our lab, we have an EP8 that is FIPS enabled. I have an external application server with an Apache Tomcat running OD 7.22.10.04 applications.

When I am in the EP8 and either add a new Application entry for one of the OD applications. I get the following error after clicking Save:

Fatal error
javax.servlet.error.status_code 500
javax.servlet.error.message org.apache.commons.httpclient.HttpClientError: java.security.KeyManagementException: FIPS mode: only SunJSSE TrustManagers may be used
javax.servlet.error.exception_type class javax.faces.el.EvaluationException
javax.servlet.error.request_uri /VoicePortal/faces/config/applications.jsf
javax.servlet.error.servlet_name Faces Servlet
Unhandled Exception::javax.faces.el.EvaluationException

The application entry saves ok when I go back to the Application list.

I also get the same error whenever I try clicking the pencil for the Application entry to administer Configurable Application Variables.

What is causing this issue? I was under the impression that OD7 applications will work on EP8.

Let me know. Thanks.

Hitting "Save" in EPM shouldn't involve OD at all at this point. You have to sort out the FIPS settings on EPM first.
