In the agent model documentation in the SMS API I downloaded with the SDK, there is a filed labelled extension. When I use the SAT terminal I don't see a field labelled extension only Port_Extension which is separate field in the model. What's the descrepancy?

can I suggest that you populate an agent-ID with unique values in various target fields and use the SMS test tool that is built into AES to query (display) that agent-ID and find out what the mappings are. The names are not always 1:1, but such a test will show what the mappings are.
