Hi,
I am facing webLM error.

Note:
1. We have migrated our application from OD 6 to OD 8.0.
2. WebLM URL is accessible from application server browser. [ WebLM URL - https://WEBLM IP:52233/WebLM/LicenseServer ]
3. Telnet is happening for port 52233 and webLM IP.
4. Error screenshot is attached for reference.

And getting following errors,
1. After updating WebLM URL in runtimeconfig, we are getting error saying "License url is invalid, or server is not up, or license version is too low".
2. From application validation page under license status for platform tab we can see "Error :com.avaya.weblm.LicenseException: Internal error: null"

I suspect this is a production issue. Please open a ticket with Avaya Client Services (www.avaya.com/support) then click Contact Avaya Support at teh bottom of the page. THis forum is for issues encountered by developers when creating OD/EP applications.

If you are in a big hurry, I suggest comparing packet traces for the working and non working cases.

Solution
There are two things needed for this issue:

1. The WebLM folder and subfolder “admin” should be manually created under tomcat webapps on the application server and the trustedcert.properties file is copied from lib to here (don't move).
2. The CATALINA_HOME environment variable needs to be set up in the application server where Tomcat is running. In our case, it is Windows server.

When starting Tomcat using window service and it doesn’t set the variable automatically. However using startup.bat file, it does. So it is important to set up CATALINA_HOME environment variable.

I think I found the secret sauce.
If you are going to put in the http://myhost:8080 then all you need is the CATALINA_HOME set without copying the trustedcert.properties.
If you are going to use https://myhost:8443/WebLM/LicenseManager you need to set CATALINA_HOME and copy trustedcert.properties into webapps/WebLM/admin
Now, if we can get the embedded license jar updated so we don't need to manipulate this.
