On webchat you get a notification if you have another workcard open i workspaces and the customer sends a new chat message (see attached picture). Is this functionality available through the widget API or ED? We would like to use it for Generic Channel.

Hi,

the badge counter will show only if card is inactive when a new message arrives. It cannot be controlled through WidgetAPI, or in any other way.

So for Generic channel where there's no actual media on the channel there's no possibility to update the counter on an inactive workcard?

I'm afraid that is correct. It is not possible to manually update the counter.
