Hi,

I'm performing a getThirdPartyCallController.SetDoNotDisturb to set DND to true and it is returning this:

There is a call on the device at the time and that is on purpose. I want to DND the extension before the call hangs up so that it does not take another call.

Call flow: a call comes in on extension 1001, a device answers 1001 then hook flash transfers to 8001. While 8001 is ringing I try to DND 1001 because it's about to hang up and I don't want it to take another call until I un-DND it. Do you know why I'm getting the subscribedResourceAvailability-generic error?

have you proven that you are not out of TSAPI Basic User licenses? Take a peek at WebLM and see what the consumption is.

Have you checked the TSAPI for Communication Manager Programmer's guide and made sure any pre-conditions are met?

I highly recommend debugging using AES Side log files. They often say much more than CSTA allowed for.

The DMCC /TSAPI function SetDoNotDisturb causes a lot of confusion. The problem is that it does not refer to the CM function "Do not Disturb" (DND). It actually activates the function "Send All Calls" (SAC). This causes all calls to the station to ring briefly before diverting to cover. There is a set of configuration required for SAC which I can figure out for you if you need.

If you want to use DND so that all calls to the station will fail, I think you will need to use DMCC First Party technique:
1. Configure a button on the station of type "dn-dst".
2. Register a DMCC terminal in Dependent or Independent mode at the same number as the station.
3. Use GetButtonInformation to find which is the "dn_dst" button.
4. At any stage, the application can simulate pressing the "dn_dst" button to toggle the DND status using the ButtonPress function.

This is actually an analog extension that is physically plugged into a hardware device. There is no phone attached for a button.

you can activate SAC using a feature access code (FAC). TO provision that use the SAT command : change feature-access-code
find the Send All Calls row and either provision a digit sequence to dial, or use the one that is there. There should be both an Activate code and Deactivate FAC for SAC. If you do not have any FACs provisioned, then you need may to use the SAT: change dialplan analysis" form to add a entry specifying first digit(s) and length for FACs.

Then instead of button pushes you would need to do a makeCall() to activate and deactivate SAC.

HOWEVER you had mentioned you want to do this with an active call on the station... there can not be two active calls (both in talking states), so you would have to hold the current call and place a new one and then unhold. All very problematic with CTI on an analog station.

So back to the DND CTI functionality, the actual error in the DMCC logs is:

Do you have a provisioned coverage path for the station? That is where calls to the device will be sent when this feature is activated.

As to ring-ping alerts when calls are redirected to coverage, I believe you can deactivate them on the station form (although it has been a long time since I investigated that).
