One of our customer's keeps referring to agents in their call center having an "Avaya ID" that is different from their extension. What exactly is this "Avaya ID" and can I get it through DMCC or some other SDK?

I am not aware of an "Avaya ID", but a number different than the extension is the "Agent ID". This is used to log in to an extension, and is used for skills based routing. On a Communication Manager SAT session if you use the command "list agent" it will show all the Agent ID's and what extension they are staffed at.

You can also get this through DMCC. If you use the dashboard tool there is a button on the main tab called "Get Physical Device Info.". This passes the Device ID, and if there is an Agent Logged in to that station an Agent ID will be sent in the response
