How can I get the name that I assigned to an OD application via the EPM into my OD application?

For example, I have named my application CallComplete_8080.

In the tracelog I see the EMP application name in the log record "Initializer:applicationStarted:Appname is 0:CallComplete_8080[i]
I need to get that name in the my OD app.

Is that possible?

We have an OD project where the web.xml became corrupted.

Is there a way to re-create the web.xml from scratch?

Tried deleting it but that did not work.

Does anyone know how to do this?

No solution has been offered.
One of the developers wrote a script to delete the extra lines but we are aware that is dangerous.

I'm not sure if anyone from the product house looks at these any longer.
I was told that you have to now submit as SR if you want any action.

Noticed that the <project>\WEB-INF\web.xml file keeps getting larger.

Before the end tag, </web-app>, there are thousands of blank lines.

The Avaya OD Search (in Eclipse) does not find variables in trace statement nor in conditional statements.

There may be others but that is what I found so far.

Using AEP 8 and OD 08.11.08.01.

We have an app that can be accessed two ways. 1) App A can be dialed into directly and 2) App A can be accessed via another app, APP B.

App A has a CAV that is used to load a wav file that is played by App A.

When we call directly into App A, the wav file that was loaded into the CAV plays.

When we call into App B which calls APP A, the wav file loaded into the same CAV does not play.

In each case the vxml page is built and are exactly the same.

Records are not going to report.log file.

Starting an OD application using https (example https://u428dc9aepfxml1.avayacloud.com:8443/OTCS/Start).

When we start the same application not using "https" but "http", all works fine.

Noticed that the report records are going to a file, savereport.log.1.

Is this related to how we start the application , i.e. "https" vs "http"? If so, what needs to be done.

Tried a different variable and got the same result.

In this example, changed the variable "alist" to "alistX".

If I change the complex variable name, that works. But changing a field variable does not work.

When renaming a project variable, the change does not propagate to the code.

I this example, the original variable name was "ConstantsPVDN.eidDefault".
I renamed it to "ConstantsPVDN.vdn_eidDefault".

The change was saved and project rebuilt. No errors were reported.

The original variable remained in the code, and the property view showed a blank.

The were errors in .log.
I removed all instance of the language (spanish) and tried again.
I did this may times before I submitted the issue to DevConnect.
Now it worked. No idea why.

I'm trying to install localization bundle es-la (3.1.9), which I have done many times in other version of OD but not 8.1.

I first installed the bundle into Windows-> Orchestration Designer -> Languages. Also set the ARS and TTS to es-us.

Then I went to application-> Properties -> Orchestration Designer -> Languages.
Installed the localization bundle into the Localization Bundle section (lower window).
Then added "spanish" to the Project Languages section (upper window). Added "spanish", selected es-us for ASR Language, selected es-us for TTS Language, selected es-la (3.1.9) for Localization Language, and did not install the standard phrase set. Selected External.

The spanish folder with all the appropriate sub-folders are created under the project,
The project.module file is updated with " <language name="spanish" root="es-la"/>"
<language name="english" root="en-us"/>
<language name="russian" root="ru-ru"/>
<language name="spanish" root="es-la"/>


The project.languages is NOT updated. Only the english specification exists.

Can the Context Store PDC in OD used to update the Customer Journey in EDM?

Also is Context Store PDC 3.8.1 compatible with OD 8.1

The Property in the P/C has a setting for inter digit timeout which seems to work.

What I need now is how to set the "first character" timeout. This is how long the system will wait a a P/C block before throwing a No Input condition.

I don't see any reference anywhere in the OD documents. The only reference I see is for the inter digit timer which occurs once an input is stated for a multi character input.

In looking at the trace.log I see the about a 5 sec between when the P/C page is sent and the No Input occurs.

I can not find refence anywhere.
