Thank you for your response. I am attempting to make all assignments upon creation. Seems like each item should be set by the cm endpoint template.
But if not, I can try it with the xml file submitted with the api call to create.
From SMS test, I am thinking the value is "Button_Data_5[1]=y". I just can't see how to translate this into an xml entry with tags.
Here is a snippet:
Button_Data_1[1]=call-appr|Button_Data_1[2]=call-appr|Button_Data_1[3]=call-appr|Button_Data_1[4]=ec500|Button_Data_1[6]=extnd-call|Button_Data_1[8]=autodial|Button_Data_1[9]=send-calls|Button_Data_4[1]=r|Button_Data_4[2]=r|Button_Data_4[3]=r|Button_Data_5[1]=y|Button_Data_5[2]=y|Button_Data_5[3]=y|Button_Data_6[8]=1|Button_Data_7[4]=n

I am using AES and SMS to create users and assign extensions in SMGR. All seems to work fine except that button features don't match the template used.
What else could assign the value if they don't seem to come from the XML file sent with the API request.
Button 1:
(not a favorite)
Label: xxx-xxx-xxxx
Feature: call-appr
(Argument-1) auto-A/D: y
(Argument-2) ring: r
I have no button tags in my xml and I need auto-A/D to be 'n' as per the j179 template assigned. What would the xml tag look like to assign 'n' to auto-A/D?
This doesn't seem to do it.
<ns9:buttons>
<ns9:number>1</ns9:number>
<ns9:type>call-appr</ns9:type>
<ns9:data1></ns9:data1>
<ns9:data2></ns9:data2>
<ns9:data3>r</ns9:data3>
<ns9:data4>n</ns9:data4>
<ns9:data5></ns9:data5>
<ns9:data6></ns9:data6>
<ns9:buttonLabel>auto-19-tmpl</ns9:buttonLabel>
</ns9:buttons>[/list]
Thanks

Ok,
Thank you for your response. Is there any other way to collect that information via any other API or method?

Hello,
Anyone know how to get a listing of all the "User Provisioning Rules" in SMGR programmatically via UPM Web Services? Maybe there is a different api or even a direct database query that can do this. I need to get the listing real-time when creating new users via automation.

I have a similar issue now with the command "list uniform-dialplan" using SMS via AES. IT doesn't seem to be permissions this time as the command works with the user in the sms_test.php site, SAT and smgr cut-through. When I submit the command using an XML file and the SMS api, I get this message....
<result_code>1</result_code><result_data/><message_text>1 00000000 5bc5 "uniform-dialplan" is an invalid entry; please press HELP

This was a permissions issue on the Communication Manager. The user did not have permissions to the command/items in CM. This issue has been resolved.

In using port networks in my phone system. I am trying to pull information from Communication Manager via SMS and AES. Has anyone successfully implemented a command like this on the AES api (sms_test.php). "list configuration board aaaa"
Here is what I am getting. Any help would be appreciated on getting this to work.
Input into the AES tester (sms_test.php):
Model: Configuration
Operation: List
Qualifier: board 01d06
Fields: Board_Number|Board_Type
Response {
var $result_code = 1
var $result_data = ''
var $message_text = '1 00000000 5bc5 "configuration" is an invalid
entry; please press HELP
'
}

Thank you again. I appreciate your help on this.
On this question...
"The CM connection being 'lost' is likely a timeout. Is it 100% repeatable? "
The timeout message is all I get when things fail. It is 100% repeatable.
I will try a few of these from SAT. However on the SMGR cut-through, the interface hangs when I click the next button on the page that contains the last entry (# 14). I have to refresh the page or go back to a previous menu to get anything to respond.
I have higher support membership and I have submitted this ticket

Thanks again for all your responses on this. It has been a great help.

Thank you for your response. I have tried your suggestion via the SMS_test.php interface on my AES and this is what I get. Any idea what could be wrong?
Model: Station
Operation: List
Qualifier: port 001V2 count 12 ext 11576
Fields: Extension|Type|Port
Results:
Response {
var $result_code = 1
var $result_data = ''
var $message_text = 'Read Failure. The CM connection may have been lost.'
}
I happen to know that the full list contains 14 items. Will I have to know that each time I run the query? Seems like I run into issues for automation if I don't know the total before I run the query. For example: If I start at item 10 and try to get the rest of the list(items 10-14) this works....
Qualifier: port 001V2 count 6 ext 11578
But with the same list if I try this qualifier where count is 7, it fails.
Qualifier: port 001V2 count 7 ext 11578
Almost as if I can't go too far beyond the count that exists. Ideally, I will need to do a chunk of 1-12, then a chunk 12-24. The response list could have 14 items or 24 in it (or any number in between on a board).

I am trying to use the AES SMS to list station ports and I need to "chunk" the output as suggested in the programmers guide on page 33. https://www.devconnectprogram.com/fileMedia/download/283d8abe-28bf-4a71-915d-20b1cf521bc6 Application Enablement Services Web Services Programmers Guide
I am able to do a list station port <portid> but i want to break up the responses. I want the first 10 then the second 10. Is there a way to use the count option to get the output for response entries 11-20? list port station port xxxxx count 10 seems to work just fine. How do I get the second "chunk" if needed?
