So we should verify that the outbound call is seen in the IC?
And then make sure that the OD app sends a newcall to the IC within 4 secs? I guess to verify this, we compare the IC log for outbound call with the IVR log containing the newcall command?
Also, what happens if the newcall command is sent after 4 secs?
Thanks.

Hi Neil, Wilson,
I am working with Pattdon... and have a question.
Do you know how the call *should* be handed off from CCXML to the VXML Dialog?
FYI - We are currently using the "dialogprepare" to pass call from CCXML, but this invokes the VXML via its Tomcat URL. And the CCXML is still active.
Thanks.

Thanks John, this was really helpful. As I found some messages in the AES logs (easy to spot when you know what you are looking for). And it said that the AES was terminating the link after trying to send 5 times.
So with this I will look at my Rx loop.
I did get a sniffer on the machine running my app, but when I experienced the error I only saw Reset messages from TCP, not FIN messages. Is this correct?

Hi John,
Again, thanks for you speedy reply.
When you say client application server, this would be my application?
I have already tried a the MS NetMon sniffer but was not sure what to look for. So from what you are saying, i should see a TCP disconnect message like a FIN message?
When you say TCP buffer, are you referring to the NIC or the Send/Receive Queues for the AES and Tsapi Client?
So im guessing that if i see the disconnect come from the AES, my app is not servicing the Queue enough. But if it come from the Client it would that be an issue on the AES?

Hi,
Im trying to get past a specific error (TSERVER_STREAM_FAILED) and need a little help...
I have searched the forums already and the Tsapi prog ref and know that i get this error message either when the Tsapi Client buffer is full, or when the AES Server does not get acknowledgement back from the Tsapi Client which suggests its too busy to respond. Which is when it terminates my link.
Even if my environment has low traffic i can still get this same error message. So when i get one i recover by recreating the link to Tsapi and re-monitor everything. I have a single and multi-threaded version of the same app and still get the same error message. Finally i have experimented with the Receive Queue/Buffer values and these not make a noticable difference either.
Can anything else cause this error message?
What should i be looking for to get to the root cause?
Is it imperative to run in a tight polling (receiving) loop to take from Tsapi Client, or is it fine as long as the end of the buffer is not hit?
I have also found that i can recreate the problem on my Aure BDE if i unmonitor and then remonitor enough devices.
Any advice is welcome right now... thank you,
Rich.

Hi Martin,
Wow, i had no idea that this would run that deep.
So because the numbers are off (under by 200) would this mean that:
1) Some (200) licenses are not being used?
2) When the "Available" value becomes zero, the AES will no longer allow new registrations?
Thanks,
Rich.

Hi,
I have an AES that appears to have many licenses, but when i look at the WebLM, the VALUE_TSAPI_USERS row has a zero for the available column. Is this important, because the numbers dont add up? (See Below).
VALUE_TSAPI_USERS row on the WebLM:
License Capacity: 7710
Currently Allocated: 7490
Available: 0
I would assume Capacity = Allocated + Available, no?
I have already checked the FAQ and the forum, and this error seems to be either config, firmware or license problem.
Thx Rich.

Hi,
I need to somehow map Agents, Splits, VDNs and Skills where programmatically possible. But i am stuck on trying to find some association of skills with VDNs and Agents?
So far I have found some information in the Tsapi Prog Ref for Splits. And the following should summarize those sources:
- Split field on a DELIVERED Msg.
- Queue field containing a Split on QUEUED Msg.
- Agent Group field on an Agent LOGGED_ON Msg.
I believe tha the above info is correct but is there a way i can drilldown to learn the Skills the Agents belong to? I noticed that i see them briefly when i login as an Agent into the IP Agent.
I would prefer to find a finction, so I have also looked at some of the ACD Query functions, but i read on the forum that some of them have been depricated such as attQueryAgentMeasurements.
Thanks,
Rich.

Hi Martin,
Yes, the system is EAS, and i do have agents logged in but im not sure how to tell if they are part of the Hunt Group. I also have difficulty knowing which skill is associated with a Hunt Group? However, i do have Private Data enbled and working.
I too have tried it on the Tsapi Exerciser, but it yields the same results as my app.
Thanks,
Rich.

Hi,
I have moved forward with this and have implemented attQueryAcdSplit and attQueryAgentLogin, but i cannot seem to get anything other than zero in the returned fields.
I have tried both functions on the Avaya BDE and on a client site and i see no difference.
Do you have any advice why this might be?
Thanks,
Rich.

Sorry i missed your prompt reply, my email not get an alert.
Wow i would have to agree, those 2 options are much more work than i would like to take on.
Im basically i am testing to see what my options are and what events i am able to see. As i assume that i would encounter both EAS and non-EAS Environments. The Tsapi Prog Ref shows that i get only a certain set of messages depending on how i can monitor a Split.
So i guess the better question to ask is, what is the usual setup for a clients ACD, EAS or non-EAS?
Rich.

Hi John,
I must have an EAS configured Environment because even when i configure the Hunt Group as non-ACD (ACD = N), i still cannot use cstaMonitorCallsViaDevice.
I am using the latest Avaya BDE, so am i able to modify the setting that is administratively blocked or the EAS setting?
I mainly use the SAT for finding and tweaking settings, as the only other place i see that could help is to add CTI devices + type in the AES Management Console (under security).
Rich.

Hi Guys,
Yes that was what i was following, but today i found that i had not configured the Hunt Group properly in the SAT. I had to set the ACD, Vector and Skill attributes to Yes and then i was able to enable a Monitor or Query that Split via both my code and the Tsapi Exerciser tool.
But i am still confused about a few things...
I cannot seem to monitor the Split via the cstaMonitorCallsViaDevice. Instead i can only monitor via the cstaMonitorDevice? I have been checking the Tsapi Prog Ref and it shows that i receive more events if i set a monitor via the cstaMonitorCallsViaDevice function. So am i missing more configuration in the Hunt Group settings in the SAT?
Every time i try to monitor my Split i with the cstaMonitorCallsViaDevice function i get the message along the lines of "request is incompatible with the Object".
Rich.

Hi,
I have been trying to implemernt a Query command but cannot get it to work. I have tried this in real code and within the Tsapi Exerciser Tool and get the same results.
Im not sure if it is supported and or if there are any special steps before executing it, but i normally see an error like Invalid Device Identifier.
I also have the same problems with attQueryAgentLogin().
Thanks,
Rich.

Hi,
Quick question... is there a load tester for Tsapi that i could use to achieve higher throughput than the Aura BDE?
Thanks,
Rich.
