Can you set the Delay Seconds for a Transitional Audio message from a variable similar to setting fetchtimeout?
I want to pass the seconds from a property file into the OD application and then set the transitional delay field.
Below code sets the fetchtimeout property from a variable, is there an equivalent properties variable for the transitional delay seconds property?
public void updateProperties(Collection properties, SCESession mySession){
super.updateProperties(properties, mySession);
//Get Properties Variables
IVariableField propVar = mySession.getVariableField(IProjectVariables.PROPERTIES,
IProjectVariables.PROPERTIES_FIELD_FETCHTIMEOUT);
String timeout = propVar.getStringValue();
properties.add(new com.avaya.sce.runtime.Property("fetchtimeout", timeout));
mySession.getTraceOutput().writeln(ITraceInfo.TRACE_LEVEL_INFO, " fetchtimeout has been set to " +timeout);
Thanks,
Dave

» What's the function of ddfetchAudio.wav, 09/10/2015 08:37:34

Hello,
Can someone provide details on the purpose of ddfetchAudio.wav? Also what is the impact to the application in runtime if this file is missing. I notice errors in AEP indicating 404 for ddfetchAudio.wav for an application. Trying to find out what's its function.
We are using OD 7 and AEP 6.
Thanks,
Dave

» Max Call Duration, 30/06/2015 13:54:08

This would be for a voice call. What I'm asking is we have a set call duration for a give call say 5 minutes. If a caller remains on a call performing self-service features over the 5 min limit, I would think there is a mechanism to trigger this event. It seems odd to me that an IVR application can't throw an error for exceeding a max call duration and have the ability to play a message to the caller before disconnecting the call.
I'm assuming there is a default max call duration that is set in AEP is there? If there is, is there a way to override it in the application, similar to overriding the fetchtimeout parameter?

Is there a way in OD to set the max call duration and capture the event inside the OD application?

» Custom Variables in OD for POM, 19/11/2014 12:09:44

It seems to me that there has to be a process of testing receiving POM data in my AAOD 7.0 environment. I've developed a custom outbound POM application that is expecting custom contact attributes to be passed into the application, but how do you simulate this using the OD simulator. I would think there is a way to simulate this in OD. An example application using custom attributes would be a plus to show how the POM variables are received by the custom outbound application. Any help!!

I don't have POM installed but I want to begin developing the outbound application and the application requires custom variables to be sent to the application. It appears that the custom variables need to be added first in POM and then the OD has to connect to the POM to see the custom variables, is that correct? Is there an example application that is using custom variables? Can you test an outbound application using OD's simulator? I'm using OD 7.0 and PDC POM 2.5.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

» How to Externalize the ddlog4j.properties, 02/05/2014 13:08:34

Regarding the report database and report.log. Mu understanding is there is a process that reads the report.log and updates the AEP report database. My question is if I move the report.log out of the app/data/log directory. How do I change the configuration to have the process that reads the report.log file to look for the report.log file in a different directory. By default that process is looking in the app/data/log directory.

Just to confirm, using AEP 6.0; both the ddrt.properties and ddlog4j.properties must reside in the application/data directory. It can't be moved outside of the application directory.
What about the report.log file, can that be moved outside of the application/data/log directory? If so, how do you configure the
process (VPAppLogClientBase) to the new location of the report.log file?

Do you mean AEP(experience Portal) 7.0 not OD 7?

Can someone tell me where does the dd.apphome get set?
It's used in the log4j properties file.
log4j.appender.RHC_OK_EGID.File=${dd.apphome}/data/log/report.log
Looking to setup another variable for server name.

» In OD how to pass variables between projects (Not using modules), 22/11/2013 13:10:49

Ok, I'm able to sent the application to the second application, but not able to receive the passed variable.
The servlet node is the the first node from the AppRoot, is that correct?
This is the code to pass the variable:
out.println("<var name=\"sendDNIS\" expr=\"'100001'\"/>");
out.println("<subdialog name=\"CallApp\" src=\"/EGID/Start\" namelist=\"sendDNIS\" method=\"post\"/>");
Code to receive the variable:
String passedDNIS = mySession.getRequest().getParameter("sendDNIS");
Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
