What configuration setting do I need to set to be able to use the selective listening hold feature? I get the following error while trying to invoke it:
GENERIC_SUBSCRIBED_RESOURCE_AVAILABILITY (41)
(CS0/50) – This service has not been administratively enabled on
the switch.
Thanks,
Ben

I got this working. The numbers the customer gave me initially were the hunt group numbers rather than their extensions. Thanks for all your help.

Is an ACD split the same as a skill group. I have a list of skill groups from our customer but when I try to monitor any of them using cstaMonitorDevice() with the TSAPI exerciser I get INVALID_CSTA_DEVICE_IDENTIFIER.

The TSAPI document says the following about cstaMonitorCallsViaDevice():
"Skill Hunt Groups — A skill hunt group (split) cannot be monitored directly by an
application. The VDN providing access to the vector(s) controlling the hunt group
can be monitored instead, if event reports for calls delivered to the hunt group
are desired."
Will this limit what I'm trying to do?

Thanks, that's probably what I want. How do I go about monitoring a huntgroup?

In my application, I'm monitoring a handful of extensions and would like to get an event when an agent logs into one of those extensions. Is there an event that will notify me of this?
Thanks,
Ben

We changed the ASAI link version to 6 and everything is working as expected. Thanks for your help. I'm having a little trouble interpreting the registration info that I'm getting. As part of our application I need to determine the IP address that an extension is located at. For some of the extensions that I query I get that an extension has two registered endpoints with different IP addresses. What does this mean ?
Thanks,
Ben

Ok thanks. It appears I don't have access to that section of the web interface so I'll have to check with the customer. Is the ASAI link version just a configuration item or does it requires some sort of upgrade?

That is correct. Supposedly the CM version is 6.3.2 but this is at a customer site and I am just taking their word for it. Is there a way that I can confirm the CM version?

When my call monitoring application starts up I would like to get the registration status for the extensions I'm monitoring. I'm using TSAPI to do this. The response that I get to my cstaEscapeService() is VALUE_OUT_OF_RANGE. I can confirm that I negotiate private data version 11 when I open the stream. This AES was just recently updated to version 6.3.1 to provide this capability. Are there any configuration changes that have to be made to support this?
Thanks,
Ben

Ok, just to clarify, I want to get the station status for the DMCC station that I am registered with? Also, where is the RTP stream being sent from? Is it the AES server?

When I get a MediaStart event, the IP and port information for RTP/RTCP are for the source, which appears to be some sort of Avaya gateway. I'm looking to verify the destination port (the address is being set correctly since I can see the traffic at all).

How do I check the MediaStart events? I'm not sure about NATs or firewalls, this is at a remote customer location and I'm not sure about their network topology. The customer also hasn't given me access to the SAT terminal so I can't check that either.

I confirmed via the logs and Wireshark that the registration request contains the correct ports. I am using TSAPI rather than DMCC to conference the registered DMCC station into a call, would that make a difference?
