Hi, We have deployed our code in 2 different appserver.
One of which is working fine but the other is throwing err. I am pasting the error here, please let me know the resolution around it

Thanks Again Ross.
your reply says "a single copy that all applications share."
my doubt is for a single application.
So like I said we have cached data for our application(its single one). and what we are doing is we are pulling out cache data one by one and putting them in Avayas local variable and then using these Avayas variables in our application throughout.
What we are looking for is to use our cache variable directly in our application. So is it possible?
Thanks

Thanks for the reply Ross.
Let me ealaborate my query
1) we have large amount of cached data with us
2) Avaya in its nodes understands its own Project variable
3) so what we do is we take cached data one by one and assign them to the variables at Avaya end i.e. just after the approot we have one of servlet wherein we take out cached data and assign them to variables created at Avayas Project variable.
4) because of which what is happening is we are replicating data -i.e. say there are 100 calls coming at one point of time and as we have cached data stored in 1 variable; so for 100 calls we have same data stored 100 times(since one call i.e. session will have its own variable)
5) so this takes lot of memory at runtime
6) and hence we thought cant we use our cached variable directly at nodes - i.e. say for eg at decision node if my cached variable is A and i want to check this with a constant data say 'Test' I want to do A equals 'Test' at decision node.
7)But now since this is not allowed I am forced to create one Project variable say 'A_data' as project variable and I am checking 'Test' against this. I want to avoid this and do point no (6) for all my cached data
SO what I asked was is (6) achievable as this will help us in maintaining our cached data and code will be easy to understand by others.
Please suggest.
Thanks

Ross and team,
I am able to handle the data using App Context only.
I have 1 more question in similar line on this - Please help me in understand if there is any way in Avaya to create Application level IVR variables? Right now all that we have are IVR variables that we create are all are session-scope.
Please answer me on this soon.
Thanks for your understanding.

Hi Ross,
Well I do understand your point of using Application Context but I was wondering if anything direct is available from Avaya that can be used in servletImplementation method.

Thanks Ross for your reply.
What I am try to say is - Like we have IProjectVariables simple and complex variable which we set and access for individual calls that is by using mySession.getVariableField(
IProjectVariables.XXXX,IProjectVariables.YYYYY).getStringValue() and these variables are session variables right(?). So my requirement is to have application level variable, say during server startup I initialize some value say from DB and I want to use it throughout my application.
Is there any provision for this?
Please let me know if I still need to elaborate here.
Thank you

Hi,
We have a need to have few Application Level IVR Variables.
FYI - We have been using Session related varialbes i.e. SCESession till now and now we are trying to expore if we can leverage Application Level Variable.
If it is possible please let us know on how to create it and access it?
Thanks in advance

Hi,
In VPAppLog table we are seeing that data is getting purged randomly. The purge data is configured for 365 days.
My question is why is this data getting purged and does Avaya has any specific algorithm to which deletes data that comes below purging days duration? Please let us know.
Thanks
Amit

Hi,
Prior to post my query here, I tried reaching support.avaya.com but I am unable to post my question. Request you to please answer it here :).
We know that data get transferred from Avayas Internal DB i.e. Postgres DB to our DB.
In order to maintain data for more than 90 days we are transferring the data from DB to another DB.
So what we are doing is - Migrating the data every night at 1AM but the data that we thought of picking is till 0000 AM because of Webservice Call.WHile doing so we came across one prob. We observed that Web-service is sending data even after 1 hour.
So my question is -
1) how often does the web-service call run?
2) we are considerring data of 1 hour old data on daily basis but still we are seeing data getting missed, so please let us know wat would be the idle duration to consider(as we do not know the internals of Avayas Arch)
Thanks in Advance.

Thanks for your reply Ross.
I am able to fetch URL from Value variable.
What I am trying to get here is the utterance of the caller. Say for instance I need to fetch his/her address which he will be uttering in a Record Node. I am able to get it recorded and also I am able to see the wav file in temp directory. But I am interested to get the utterance in text(String) format. Kindly let me know how can I get the String data of caller utterance.
Thanks

Hi,
We have a requirement wherein a caller will be uttering his/her address, we need to capture it and update our Database with the new data based on some conditions.
To achieve this we have created a Demo Speech Application which starts with a 'Record' Item. This record item has one Prompt to prompt caller to enter his data after a beep(we have updated the Barge-in Type to Hotword in Prompt Main). And we also tried putting a Grammar which we thougth would act as a terminator field(here we asked caller to punch in # i.e. pound). After this we were trying to fetch the infor that caller has uttered but to our surprise the utterance is coming as empty string and value has value of the wav file. However, when we tried playing the data using a Phrase Variable it did played that.
Request you to please help us in fetching the info in a variable so that we can use this variable for further processing.
Your prompt reply would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Amit

Hi Ross and team,
Just a quick question. Could you please let us know what needs to be done if we want the data of recorded variable to be stored in a different variable which can later be persisted in Database?
Thanks in advance
