Thanks for that info Wilson!
In your previous comment you stated that "So you may see a few connections stay open, nothing to be alarmed about". Will those connections ever get clear out/timed out? Is it a true statement to say that if the app didn't close a connection, then it'll stay open until may be tomcat restarts?

The issue was that the DB maxed out the connections from the IVR and it was not being released. We also noticed the tomcat server was running very slow during that time. After restarting the DB the issue was resolved. I am not sure if the issue was on DB side or not. However the DB was migrated to a cloud recently.
App server(tomcat) is a windows machine. Can you please tell me where the configuration for connection pool is.

Hello,
At the end of the session, are all the connections gets released when a call ends? I am particularly looking at an ODBC connection. The app makes an ODBC connection in an servlet. If the connection close doesn't happen in the servlet, would that get released at the end of the session cleanup? I am trying to troubleshoot an issue.
Thanks in advance.

I am reading about 'External grammar'. Is that the best approach? Is there a sample application available?
DB has about 5k entries that needs to match against with the asr input.

Hello,
I want to build a speech application that use ASR to capture a name and match that up against a database. The data on the DB changes all the time so I need to have the flexibility to update grammar without deploying an application. What is the best way to proceed with this.
Thanks in advance

Hello,
I see the following exception in pom logs and on EPM Total contact and Last updated shows as 'In Progress'. I have tried restarting POM and even EPM. How do I kill this import process or what's the best way to handle this?

Can we just upgrade java version on the server without having OD code compiled with it?

Hi Wilson,
I created a new node for that menu and then the error moved to the next node. I ended up creating a new project and copy and pasting all the nodes and that took care of it.
Thanks for responding.

Hello,
We have a program that does the outbound dialing using Axis2 VPAppIntfService. It uses LaunchVXML method for generating the call and the program runs as a scheduled task. There was a issue with the server that was hosting the program so it's off the network now, but still outbound call requests are coming to the AAEP, I am guessing those were the queued ones. How do I clear those out? Is there a log on AEP that logs these requests?
Thanks in advance
