I have a simple test application that I am trying to run from a WebLogic. When I go, using chrome to http://<WEB_LOGIC>/Application/Start, it works. When I try doing that from the MPP, using "wget http://<WEB_LOGIC>/Application/Start" that also works. However, whenever I do it using the phone I hear silence, 30 seconds and the "the system is experiencing technical difficulties" audio. Is there any condition that makes the AVB different from wget, that would make a request that wprks in wget not work whn issued by AVB?

And how does the simulation profile set the VP Variables with the values in the simulation profile?
Could I simulate that outside Eclipse?

I have an app that obtains all of it's configuration information from Voice Portal / Experience Portal variables. However, I would like to be able to test the system via web (by manually going to http://<host>/Application/Start).

However, the VP vars are all set to their default values. I remember from 4.x that if you wanted a var called x to have the value 1, you could do it by going to http://<host>/Application/Start?x=1

However, this is not working for me right now. I change the value on the URL parameter, but it does not get changed. How can I change it, so that I can test before connecting my app to VP?

So? This means I cannot fix it?
Can I do anything about it, then?

We have a system with 2 WebLogic Servers and several VPMS systems. Recently we had a failure where a disruption between the network and one of the MPPs caused for the weblogic to become unresponsive for everybody.

Upon investigating we discovered that whenever a thread encountered a network issue upon starting it would acquire a lock for an object that would not be released. This lock on an object means that the Start servlet would not complete and all users would be left hearing dead air.

We are aware that people affected by the network outage should receive dead air, but there should be no locks on the web logic.

We have discussed the issue with WebLogic support and they have told us that this is an application issue.

The web logic log servers' logs stated the stuck threads were always at the same point:

We have checked and the system is outputing this upon receiving "000000070460.00 ". The system is not running out of threads, but will eventually do so (each call makes one thread unusable). WebLogic tells us to go to Avaya. Is it possible to at least know what is being done on FormatLocale.java:1302? We have looked for this file, but we cannot find the source.

Hi. We have a large app with several modules. On ocassion our app presents an error stating "The system is experiencing technical difficulties". On VP this shows as a PAVB_00213. These are consistent with something stuck on the WAS.

We would expect this to be the case when the system is running some of our code, however it seems that the server is stuck in FormatLocal.MASSpeakNumber, which we don't change. Note that this only happens in some cases. That is, something on the data seems to trigger this behavior, but we have not been able to pinpoint what.

However, I am curious, let's say SIP lines, how could we do this on UUI? Do we need CTI/AES?

We have a customer that sends calls to off-site, off-company, non-avaya PBXs (so CTI is not an option).

When the IVR send a call to a group of agents (visible to the pbx only as a number, say extension 1234) it should send a kind of "audio whisper" to the agent, communicating the id of the caller. Once the agent has heard this, he can accept the call (by pressing 1) and when that happens, the call between the IVR and the user and the call between the IVR and the agent are merged and the user is talking to the agent, with no IVR in between.

From what we have seen it seems that CCXML should be the solution for this. Is it? Is this even possible?

If not, is there any other way to pass data to heterogeneous PBXs?

We'd like to include DD apps in out continuous integration. So I have a question: From the logs of the build process I see that there is an ant build file that gets used to export an app. However this ant file is created in a temporary directory and is gone when the build is finished. Is there a way to use this file to perform and automated build? Or, more generally. Is there a way to perform a DD build from the XML files from a command line, or in any way other that doing it by hand in Eclipse?

The nodes we were transfering to were not CM vectors. We just transfered to a CM vector and it worked.

We have a customer that wants to use secure web services, however a corporate requirement states that no passwords for anything can be stored in clear text form. However, DD on the trustedcert.properties file has a property called trustStorePassword whose value is the password in cleartext. Is there a way to manage the keystore, storing the password encrypted in some way?

I have used the CTIApp example and deployed it with a runtime of 5.1.1101 inside a tomcat server that had a runtime of 5.1.1403 and it worked without a problem (tough it should not).

I upgraded the app to 5.01.14 and put it inside another app, but it did not work. The dial process failed with a CTI HTTP 500 error and the ringMax was being sent as null, even tough we were setting it to 4.

We changed the cticlient jar inside the app, from cticlient-05.01.14.jar to cticlient-05.01.11.jar and it worked.

Yes, that was it. Microsoft Mary was selected, there was some problem with it (it would not play even a sample text). We switched to Anna and it worked perfectly.

We have a brand new install of OD on Windows 7. We use Audio Variables and they work and we can hear them, but nothing with MS Speech works. Looking at the getting started guide it says to configure the mic on the "Speech" option on Windows' control panel. We see no such option.

We have tried installing and repairing MSSpeech several times to no avail.
