Hi Team
We are planning to use DMCC MR method for recording the IX Workplace softphone used by the agents. I was told, we will face issues with MR method and need to plan for SO method.
Please confirm
Thanks

Hi,
In Avaya CM, we have the hair pinning functionality and if disabled, the internal calls will be going through the gateways. Is there any option in Nortel CS1000 to achieve this similar capability?
Thanks

Thanks John.
So, if physical station is consuming 1 DSP resource for a call, the recorder will also consume same 1 DSP resource for recording while using G650/450 gateways on Avaya side.
I was told in some cases, the recorder consumes 2 DSP resources while the physical station while on call consumes only 1 DSP. Any configurations which we need to check?
Thanks
Karthi

Hi John
Kindly suggest how many DSP resources to be used for DMCC based recording in MR as well as in SO methods. We have only 1 recorder used for recording. No redundancy or HA planned for recorders.
We have also initiated beep warning tone from CM side.
Thanks
Karthi

Hi,
Kindly suggest the Pro's and Con's of each method. I have updated the below based on my understanding. Please feel free to update it if there is any misunderstanding..
Multiple Registration:
- Need pnly basic DMCC license
- Only Digital and IP/SIP phones supports supported for recording
- DSP resources are blocked only when the call is active
- Two recorders can use MR to perform parallel recording
Service Observation:
- Need Full DMCC license
- DSP resources are blocked in CM for all extensions configured
- Supports Analog, Digital and IP phone environments
- Can support parallel recording with two recorders ---> "Kindly confirm the feasibility"
Also, please suggest from Avaya perspective what would be the future DMCC based solution. Will Avaya promote MR or SO going forward.
Thanks

Hi John
Thanks for your prompt response. Irrespective of the recorder working in Dependent or Independent mode with MR, the DSP resource will be used only during an active call for recording purpose. Is this correct?
Thanks

Hi,
we are trying to design a recording solution using Avaya DMCC Multiple Registration method. For DSP resource sizing, we need some guidance.
I need help to understand, whether the DSP resource will be utilized when there is an actual call going on the IP phone (or) even when the IP phone is not on call.
Note: Recorder can work in Dependent as well as in Independent mode.
Thanks

Hi John,
Thanks for your reply. I have gone through the document earlier, but still it was not clear to me.
Can you help me with the information on the maximum number of devices which can be monitored via TSAPI for single AES server.
Thanks

Hi,
We have the below environment at site.
Avaya CM: 6.2
Avaya AES: 6.2
We need to know how many number of devices (extensions, VDN's and Skills) can be added in AES devices group for monitoring via TSAPI service.
Kindly help with recommendations
Thanks
