That is the question exactly. Do I have a way of looking at the "divert"? I know that when I run a trace on the PBX the var is there, but I don't know how to access it from VP. MWI is the light that normally turns on when you have a message.

Hi. We are trying to build and application that calls a voice mail like flow (but more dynamic). The question I have is:
On a voicemail when the call comes to my app if the user did not answer the flow is different than when it comes directly. This is modeled by a variable called "divert". Can Orchestration Designer access the information of this "divert" field, to direct a callflow appropriately?
On a related question, can I send a comman to turn on/off the MWI light?

We want to build a CCXML app that does the following:
We have Agent A talking on the phone with User U. We want U to put the call in for a conference with VXML application V, through CCXML app C. This so that when U hangs up C disconnects the conference with V. In a way this is similar to the Conference App. My question is:
Since U is connected to C through A, when U hangs up, does it send a connection.disconnected event to C?

I have an app that connects to a web service that can take a long while to answer (around 15-30 secs) and I'd like to be able to call the web service and then play music / a message for the customer while he waits. The thing is, sometimes the WS takes 5 second and sometimes it takes 30. Is there a way for me to, for instance, play an on hold music for that period and for the music to be interrupted? Or to have a set of 5 second messages playing and stop when the WS completes? Keep in mind that it is not a transfer, we are waiting for something to happen but it is all inside DD.

Did you try refreshing the workspace with F5? That does the trick most of the time.

We have a very simple, sample quality app that just ask for an audio and records it. Sometimes it works perfectly but on some ocassions (we have not been able to figure out which) the audio file generated is not right. When we play it, it has a few seconds (0.1 to 1) of interference in the end. The interference sometimes is just garbage and some other times it is a piece of the audio itself.

If we open the wav file on an editor (windows recorder, sox) it complains that the file is not well built, fixes it and it works correctly.

Is it possible that Voice Portal is not recording correctly? If so, how can this be fixed?

You were absolutely right, it turned out to be a problem with the CM vector, or the lack of them. Even Blind Transfer nodes were able to perform the transfer as we needed it, it was just a matter of programming CM.

I have an app that receives a call from the outside, say # 555-1234567. the app is connected via an Avaya PBX into a voice portal that goes to my VXML app.
I have tried blind transfer, consultation transfer and bridged transfer but all those put the ANI of the transferred call as the channel inside Voice Portal (say, 8020 or something like that). Is there a way in DD (CCXML, VXML, or whatever) to transfer a call so that the agent I am transferring to sees the ANI as the originl one (555...) instead f my channel (8020)?

It seems to have worked, I can now open the prompts in both languages without any errors. I could install standard phrases. I stated that the external phrases were to be on an external server but the system still copied all the wav files. Do I have to change that manually on the languages file as well? If so, what do I have to exchange the word LOCAL for? EXTERNAL?

We have tried restarting several times, closing the project and then opening it back and opening in a different copy of Eclipse and none of that has worked.

Hello. We have an already built application in spanish (es-la 3.1.5). It has one phraseset and several prompts. We added a new language for it (en-us, 3.1.2). However, the new language does not appear on the languages tab in the dd properties window. We had the problem outlined on https://devconnect.avaya.com/public/forum/d_forum_3.jsp?t=4804 and have installed the hotfix, and that problem is gone but we still can't install.
If we try to add the language again we get an exception telling us the language already exists (it appears on the project.languages file). Filesystem wise everything seems ok. the new directory with prompts is created, but we can't open the prompts: The following exception appears:

Only to a database? Yes, use JT400 or openJT to connect. To something else (a queue, sockets) it is a bit trickier but you can still do it with custom java code.

And how do you sugest we do these proof of concepts? A conference cab be started using CCXML but how do you get it recorded?
