Avaya Orchestration Designer

DevConnect supports application development using the following Avaya Orchestration Designer interfaces:

Speech, Call Control and Message Application Interfaces

Orchestration Designer provides an Eclipse-based integrated development environment for the design and deployment of speech, call control, and message (SMS and email) applications that comply with VoiceXML (VXML), Call Control XML (CCXML) and TextXML specifications, respectively, plus data only and HTML5 applications. In production environments, all applications can run on Avaya Experience Portal. In addition, speech applications can run on the Interactive Response or Media Processing Server platforms.

Pluggable Data Connectors

Orchestration Designer supports a number of pluggable data connectors (PDCs) that extend its capabilities and enable it to access functionality provided by other Avaya platforms. Avaya Proactive Outreach Manager, Intelligent Customer Routing and the Context Store Snap-in provide data connectors that can be plugged into Orchestration Designer. Orchestration Designer itself provides connectors that enable it to access capabilities provided by Avaya Aura Application Enablement Services and Avaya Interaction Center, as well as PDCs that facilitate integration with Engagement Designer workflows, Web services, Avaya Aura Contact Center, etc.

Avaya Aura Contact Center Scripting

When installed on a Contact Center Manager Administration client, Avaya Orchestration Designer can be used to create applications that define the steps a contact follows when it arrives at Avaya Aura Contact Center, as the front-end to an assisted experience management solution. These steps can include call treatments (such as music or ringback), call routing (such as skill-based routing), or interaction with the caller (entering account numbers).
