Authentication

All server requests by the Customer Interaction Services Client SDK package for JavaScript require that you are previously authenticated and authorized with the server. All authentication & authorization mechanism in Oceana 3.3 and later, is external to the Client SDK, using an OAuth 2.0 Authorization Code grant (using the Avaya Breeze Authorization service). This means that where previously the Identity Management Services SDK package was used, for an an OAuth 2.0 ROPC grant, it is now not needed.

Once a User has authenticated with the Avaya Breeze Auth service, the SSO authorization token will be stored in a Web Cookie set by the UAC snap-in. When you configure the Customer Interaction Services Client SDK package for JavaScript with this SSO authorization token, the SDK will transparently pass it on in subsequent server requests.
