1100 and 1200 Series IP Deskphone SIP Software Release 4.4

SIP Release 4.4 for Avaya 1100 and 1200 Series IP deskphones was made generally available in October 2013; Service Pack 1 was issued in April 2014; Service Pack 2 was issued in September 2014; Service Pack 3 was issued in March 2015; Service Pack 4 was issued in August 2015; Service Pack 5 was issued in April 2016; Service Pack 6 was issued in October 2016; Service Pack 7 was issued in April 2017; Service Pack 8 was issued in August 2017; Service Pack 9 was issued in January 2018; Service Pack 10 was issued in June 2018; Service Pack 12 was issued in August 2019. This is the latest release of SIP software for installation on Avaya 1200 Series IP deskphones and is recommended for new development. This is NOT the latest release of SIP software for installation on Avaya 1100 Series IP deskphones. The latest release is recommended for new development.

Important The following end of sale and end of support dates have been announced:
Avaya IP Deskphone Models: 1120E, 1140E Avaya IP Deskphone Models: 1165E Avaya IP Deskphone Models: 1200 Series For all new development, Avaya recommends that developers use the latest available SIP software release for 1100 and 1200 Series IP deskphones.

Features in the new release

SIP Release 4.4 for Avaya 1100 and 1200 Series IP deskphones can be installed on Avaya 1120E, 1140E, 1165E, 1220, and 1230 IP Deskphones only.

All SIP Release 4.4 Service Packs include quality improvements only and no new features.

SIP Release 4.4 for Avaya 1100 and 1200 Series IP deskphones introduces:

  • Expanded support for Avaya Aura Presence Services
  • Support for Directory Services via Personal Profile Manager on Avaya Aura
  • Support for one-X Communicator shared control of 1100/1200 deskphone voice and call control, for call origination, answer, end and ignore.
  • TLS and SRTP support for Avaya Aura
  • Support for specific multi-user scenarios in which a single user can log onto up to 10 phones
  • User interface improvements for scenarios of multiple calls
  • Improved non-consultative transfer user interface
  • Increased Address Book default size
  • Directory search improvements
