Release 8.0

Avaya Session Border Controller for Enterprise 8.0 was made generally available in February 2019. Release 8.0.1 was issued in August 2019. This is NOT the latest release of Avaya SBCE. The latest release is recommended for new development.

Important The following end of sale and end of support dates have been announced:
  • End of sale: December 13, 2021
  • End of support: March 6, 2023

Features in the new release

Avaya SBCE 8.0.1 includes the following new and enhanced features and more:

  • Suport for deployments on Appliance Virtualization Platform in Virtual Appliance
  • Support for installations on Portwell CAF-0251 server low end appliance
  • Added Reverse Proxy Enhancements feature for routing traffic to different server addresses
  • Video recording for Avaya Aura Contact Center

New In Release 8.0

Avaya SBCE 8.0 includes the following new and enhanced features and more:

  • Added Avaya Aura SIP Resiliency feature to preserve calls for non Avaya Aura Failover Group Domain Name segments
  • Extended hostname validation when establishing a SSL connection
  • Support for MAC-based Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP) authentication
  • LDAP based call routing
  • Support for Avaya Converged Platform
  • Enhancements to multi-tenancy feature enabling new tenant and interface additions without rebooting
