Release 8.1.1

Avaya Session Border Controller for Enterprise 8.1.1 was made generally available in August 2020. This is NOT the latest release of Avaya SBCE. The latest release is recommended for new development.

Important The following end of sale and end of support dates have been announced:
  • End of sale: December 13, 2021
  • End of support: March 6, 2023
Additional information about the end of sale and end of support dates can be found here. For all new development, Avaya recommends that developers use the latest release of Avaya Session Border Controller for Enterprise.

Features in the new release

Avaya SBCE 8.1.1 includes the following new and enhanced features and more:

  • Support for Microsoft Teams
  • Support for high availability on Amazon Web Services
  • Supports deployments on Azure environments, both Generation 1 and Generation 2 virtual machines
