With the release of IP Office 9.0 in September 2013, DevConnect no longer compliance tests solutions with IP Office Release 8.1. Although the document below was issued with Release 8.1, and includes information about compliance testing with that release, it includes important information about IP Office Server Edition and amendments to SIP Trunking behavior that you may find useful:
IP Office Release 8.1 includes the following new and enhanced features.
The IP Office Release 8.1 Configuration Web service includes two new primary service methods,
GetSEUnitConfiguration
and SetSEUnitConfiguration
, that have been
introduced specifically for use with IP Office Server Edition systems. Full details are included in
the IP Office Configuration Web Service Programmer's Guide, which is available for download
below.
The new version of the Configuration Web Services SDK, issued with Service Pack 4, offers compatibility with IP Office Release 8.1 SP4, 8.1 FP1 and earlier. It is supported for use with Windows XP (32-bit), Windows 2003 SP1, Windows Vista (32 bit and 64 bit), Windows 7 (32 bit and 64 bit), Windows Server 2008 R2 and Windows 8 (32 bit and 64 bit). The usage of a server operating system being recommended for higher load environments.
Existing solutions using the Configuration Web Service SDK must be re-compiled with the new version of the toolkit in order to be able to successfully interface with IP Office Release 8.1. Note that the new version of the toolkit is also backward compatible with IP Office Releases 7.0 and 8.0. DevConnect members developing applications for release 7.0 or 8.0 should also make use of the new version.
Feature Pack 1 delivers a number of time sensitive features and quality enhancements as well as providing support for the D100 SIP DECT wireless solution, the Analog Trunk Module (ATM4U) V2 Line Card and the Combination Card ATM V2.
