Release 6.2

Avaya Meeting Exchange Release 6.2 was made generally available in February 2013; Service Pack 6 was issued in September 2018. This is the last release of Meeting Exchange.

NOTE: A change to the messaging block size in Avaya Meeting Exchange 6.2 SP3 requires ACP-API release 6.2.0.0.47 or later. ACP-API 6.2.0.0.47 is not backward compatible with versions before release 6.2 SP3. Please refer to PSN005307u for more details.

IMPORTANT The following end of sale and end of support dates have been announced:
  • End of sale: February 28, 2021
  • End of support: February 28, 2022

Features in the new release

General Features

Meeting Exchange Release 6.2 introduces the following new features:

  • Bridge and Media server capacity enhancements.
  • Aura Aura style deployment model.
  • Support for Outlook 2010, Lotus Notes 8.5.2 and IBM Lotus Sametime 8.5.2.
  • SIP and Media streams logs.
  • Audio quality monitoring.
  • Support for Early Media and Provisional Responses feedback on dial outs.
  • Blast Dial Lists automatically populated in the bridge.
  • Modernized audio console look and feel.
  • BridgeTalk displays the duration for conferences.

ACPI Updates

ACPI 6.2 includes a number of bug fixes: no new features were added in this release. Internationalization is now supported by ACPI, but did not require any changes to the API. ACPI 6.2 is backwards compatible for use with Meeting Exchange Release 5.2.
