Release 5.0

Proactive Contact Release 5.0 was made generally available in April 2011; Service Pack 1 was issued in November 2011. This is NOT the latest release of Proactive Contact and is out of support. The latest release is recommended for new development.

IMPORTANT The following end of sale and end of support dates have been announced:
  • End of sale: June 3, 2013
  • End of support: June 2, 2014
Additional information about the end of sale and end of support dates can be found here. For all new development, Avaya recommends that developers use the latest Avaya Proactive Contact release.

New in Release 5.0

Agent API

The Agent API is updated with the following information:

  • A new Data Parameter, AGTAPIVersion, has been introduced for the AGTLogon command.
  • The same parameter, AGTAPIVersion, has been added in the [ConfigSettings] section of the Moagent32.ini file.
  • A new Notification event, AGTUnitEnd, has been introduced.
  • A new error code, E29959, has been introduced for the AGTSetUnit command.
  • Certificates are renewed to increase expiry date.
  • Added support for Windows 32-bit for Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows 2008 and 64-bit for Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows 2008.
  • Enhancement in Unit Work List dialog box of Moagent32.dll to select multiple units.
  • Added description related to multiple unit selection in AGTSetUnit.
  • Added descriptions related to error codes E28628, E28985 and E29952
  • Modified the AOR notification information in AGTCallNotify and added the description related to AOR in AGTPreviewRecord.

Note: You need to upgrade the custom client using the API to take advantage of the new features or modifications in the latest Agent API.

Event SDK:

The Event SDK is updated with the following information:

  • TAO is upgraded to 1.6a
  • JacORB is upgraded to 2.3.1.
  • JRE is upgraded to 1.6.0_21.
  • Added description related to multiple unit selection in Contents of struct AgentDynDataPerJob -> unitID.
  • Certificates are renewed to increase expiry date.
  • Added support for Windows 32-bit for Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows 2008 and 64-bit for Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows 2008.
